South B is located along Mombasa Road and approximately 1 kilometer from Nairobi City Centre.
The Estate is suitable for individuals who earn a monthly salary of above Ksh 150,000; if you are earning less than Ksh 70,000 and looking for a one bedroom house in South B, you better go elsewhere because the rental prices might shock you.
The estate is full of middle class people, except few individuals who live in extensions and bedsitters. It is also one of the most loved estates in Nairobi by those who need comfort.
One advantage of living in South B is that it’s close to the town: it takes someone 10 minutes from South B to town during normal hours and 30 minutes during rush hours.
Another advantage is that you don’t struggle to shop or go for treatment far from your house. There is Nakumatt Mega near Nyayo, Capital Centre on Mombasa road and Mater hospital in South B.
The houses in South C are very specious with plenty of water and enough security. Most of the have parking lot, so if you have a vehicle, you don’t need to worry.
If you don’t intend to live in Estates like Embakasi, Nyayo, Tassia, South C and surrounding estate, South B is the most ideal.
Houses are mostly one, two or three bedrooms apartments, with few bungalows. There are countable single rooms and bedsitters as most people who look for houses in the area prefer one or two bedrooms.
If you manage to get a bedsitter, you’ll be asked to pay a monthly rent of between Ksh 9,000-Ksh 15,000.A one bedroom house goes for between Ksh 18,000-Ksh 30,000 while a two bedroom house goes for Ksh 35,000-Ksh 45,000.
The land lords mostly review rental prices every two years.
When it comes to transport to town, if you don’t have a personal car. There are many vehicles plying on the route and they mostly charge Ksh 60 to town during rush hours and Ksh 30 during normal hours.
