Cancer is a chronic disease which can put you down if it’s not diagnosed early. There are few hospitals in Kenya that treat cancer patients, and unfortunately these hospitals are situated in Nairobi.
There are limited options in Kenya because only 2 hospitals can treat cancer because they have modern facilities. In most cases, patients are referred to India for treatment because the cost of treatment in that Asian country is a bit low.
Kenyatta National Hospital, MP Shah and The Nairobi Hospital are the best hospitals for cancer treatment in Kenya. In KNH you need at least Sh500 to Sh1, 000 per session for radiotherapy). Chemotherapy costs Sh6, 000 to Sh600, 000 depending on the drug used.
The Nairobi Hospital is a bit expensive because it’s not managed by the government. But they have the best facilities.
MP Shah, located in Westlands Nairobi, is also another good hospital for cancer patients.
