Media industry is growing in length and width, Kenya is not left behind. During former President Moi’s tenure was only a single media house in the country, Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC), but when Kibaki took over in 2002 he liberalized the media industry, allowing anyone with financial muscles to start either a Television or a radio station.
Today, we have over 30 television stations and more than 100 radio stations. According to Communication Authority of Kenya, over 40 other stations have applied for registration.
