Giant social media company Facebook has extended leave for Mark Zuckerberg and all employees who will seek parental leave in future.
Mr.Zuckerberg, Facebook founder and CEO, announced last week that he will be going for a two months paid leave to welcome their daughter.
“Priscilla and I are starting to get ready for our daughter’s arrival. We’ve been picking out our favorite childhood books and toys.
We’ve also been thinking about how we’re going to take time off during the first months of her life. This is a very personal decision, and I’ve decided to take 2 months of paternity leave when our daughter arrives”, read his Facebook Post in parts
Following his decision to take time off, the company has decided to introduce a policy allowing all its employees to go for a 4-month paid leave.
Mr Lori Matloff Goler,the company’s head of human resources ,explained that allowing employees to go for leave is the right thing to do for their people and families.
“Studies show that when working parents take time to be with their newborns, outcomes are better for the children and families,”added Zuckerberg
