JP MORGAN CHASE BANK SWIFT CODE AND HOW TO DEND MONEY THROUGH SWIFT CODE

JP Morgan Chase Bank is the biggest bank in USA.When you are are sending money to other countries or within the country through wire transfer, you need a Swift Code. With Chase Bank, it’s possible to send money through this method.

To complete your wire transfer, we need the bank identification code (BIC) (also commonly known as SWIFT code) that your Recipient’s bank uses to receive wire transfers. (Note: If the Recipient’s bank can’t receive wires from us directly, you’ll need to provide the intermediary bank information for your Recipient.)

If you don’t know the BIC/SWIFT, contact your Recipient’s bank directly for the code. You can also look up the code online.

We accept two kinds of bank identifiers:

  1. The ISO 9362 BIC/SWIFT code is an 11-digit alphanumeric code used for international money transfers. SWIFT, the organization that handles registration of these codes, provides an online lookup service: http://www.swift.com/bsl/.
  2. The American Banking Association (ABA) routing number is a 9-digit numeric code used to identify financial institutions in the United States. You can look up ABA routing numbers used for wires on the Federal Reserve Financial Services lookup site.

If you want to send a wire using the BIC/SWIFT code, follow these steps:

  1. Go to http://www.swift.com/bsl/.
  2. Click the “BIC Search light” tab and enter the following details:
  • Institution name
  • City
  • Country
  • Challenge response (displayed below the Challenge field)

Click “Search” to continue.

  1. From the search results displayed, choose the appropriate BIC/SWIFT code based on the city or country you entered in the fields above. Note: You will need this code for your Chase Online Wire transfer. If you want additional information about a specific financial institution, click the related BIC/SWIFT code link.

Note: You have five consecutive attempts to obtain your BIC/SWIFT code. If you exceed the maximum number of attempts, you’ll have to wait for 15 minutes before you can try to access the code again.

  1. Once you have the correct BIC/SWIFT code, return to Chase Online and enter the 11-digit code into the “Bank routing number (ABA/SWIFT)” field. Click “Next” to proceed.

Note: If the Swift Code is less than 11 alphanumeric characters, please enter “X” following the code until your entry contains 11 characters. E.g. CHASGB2LXXX.

If you want to send a domestic wire (USD) using the ABA routing number, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Federal Reserve Financial Services lookup site.
  2. Enter the bank’s name in the “Name” field. Select a state or territory from the drop-down list; you may also select a city. Click “Search” to continue.
  3. Based on your search criteria, the applicable ABA routing number is displayed. If you want additional information relating to the bank, click the “More” button next to the routing number.
  4. Once you have the ABA routing number, return to Chase Online, and enter this 9-digit routing number in the “Bank routing number (ABA/SWIFT)” field. Click “Next” to proceed.
