It’s amazing that www.venasnews.co.ke receives more than 99% of the traffic from search engines, it’s now a viral blog.
Many people have asked how I managed to create a blog and in less than two years, it became viral. Here is what I did.
Before I go far, I would like to inform readers that venasnews.co.ke receives 40,000 daily visitors and is growing exponentially. This is what I did to create such a blog.
Focusing on key words
When I write content, I figure out what people would search online. Based on that, I do a thorough research and start to write.
Focusing on key words help my blog rank highly, even better than blogs that rank top 1,000 worldwide.
Most of my articles I create are my own ideas. In fact, I happen to figure out what I will write the next day from yester evening. It’s rare I copy what others write.
Focusing on unique content makes my articles more appealing to readers and also to stand out.
Writing is a hobby
I don’t write to make money, but to make myself happy. I started blogging as a way of passing time, which later turned out to be a lucrative venture.
If you’re a blogger and your focus is money, you will definitely become bored and give up. For my case, even if I am earning zero dollars, I still write-simply because I love what I do.
Less boring stories
I try as much as possible to make my stories readable and more interesting. It’s hard to get a boring story from Venas News.
In my work I strive to provide solutions to most of the readers of my articles. You realize that I focus more on careers and business, which I am excited to write. Since I know there are millions of desperate graduates and thousands of people who want advice regarding career, my articles become significant for them. Entrepreneurs and investors are also not left behind.
I write what I know
I focus more on what I know as opposed to what I read from other blogs. By doing this, I find it easy to communicate to my readers in a language they understand
I don’t focus on sharing my stories in social media
My Facebook and Twitter accounts are idle, in fact I have forgotten their passwords. When I write a story, I simply leave it there for people to come and read, luckily they come running.
The final and most important point is hosting. I host my website at Kinsta, which has excellent technology to ensure my articles load fast. The hosting company has very powerful dedicated servers which scale automatically when I receive traffic spikes, thus ensuring 99.9 % uptime.
Hosting is important: a hosting company can either kill or make your dream a reality.
For viral websites, Kinsta,Pagely,,Amazon ,Google and Clowdway are the best hosting companies.
