Usain Bolt is regarded as the fastest athlete on earth, winning gold after gold in almost all the events he has participated. His wealth is also proportionate with the number of tournaments he has participated in.

The Jamaican sprinter’s wealth is estimated to be in the region of US$100 million, that’s after winning two gold medals at the Olympics in the Rio, Brazil and a dozen of others in various events across the world.

Bolt’s wealth comes from endorsements from multinationals, appearances in the track and field events and also the prizes he wins at the events.

The athlete has won a total of 11 gold medals in the Olympic Games. He won the 100 m, 200 m and 4 × 100 m relay at three consecutive Olympic Games. He gained worldwide popularity for his double sprint victory at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in world record times. Bolt was the first to win consecutive Olympic 100 m and 200 m titles (2008 and 2012).In 2017,he again won gold in the 200 and 100 metres races.

Bolt was born on 21 August 1986 in Sherwood Content, a small town in Trelawny, Jamaica, and grew up with his parents, Wellesley and Jennifer Bolt, his brother Sadiki,and his sister Sherine His parents ran the local grocery store in the rural area.

Bolt attended Waldensia Primary and William Knibb Memorial High School.It’s at William Knibb High School that he started participating in the 100 and 200 meters competitions. The athlete won his first medal while in High school, silver.

Bolt was an average student in high school, his dream was not to attend college education, but to improve his skills in the field and truck events. While in High school, Pablo McNeil, a former Olympic sprint athlete, and Dwayne Jarrett coached Bolt, encouraging him to focus his energy on improving his athletic abilities. McNeil soon became his primary coach.

Bolt has won respect across the world due to his prowess in beating competitors like Justin Gatlin and many other athletes who have since retired. He is truly a champion.
